Apex Systems, a World-Class Technology Solutions Provider, is seeking applicants for the below position on behalf of our clientPlease send an updated resume and a copy of your IAT II Certification to Jordan at if interested and qualified*Please note that only qualified candidates will be contactedPosition: Deployed Support Mid Clearance Requirement: Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment Location: Norfolk, VA Estimated Duration: The client approximates that this project may last up to 12 months with strong possibility to extendHowever, there is no guarantee of employment for any length of timePay Rate Range: $26.03 -$30.00 + $4.57 SCA Fringe Benefit Rate Project Description: Provide network technical advice and assistance during the planning phase of a deployment or exercise and coordinate swift solutions to networking problems during the execution phaseDay to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: -Provide direct computer and network support to include router, firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Domain Name System (DNS), Active Directory (AD) and Exchange, configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting to USMC deployed unitsAssist in the development and execution of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed units.
-Provide direct support to the D-30 process.
-Support operational requirements for the operational environment; identify required Hardware (HW) and Software (SW); submit personnel foreign country clearance requests and obtain necessary visas; document the result of the deployment in a Government-provided template with input and conduct a post-deployment review with the Government; coordinate return of any unused and reusable equipment to stock; coordinate the transportation of all HW and SW required to support contingency operations and obtain all import permitsSelling Points for Candidates: 10 Fed Holidays Off & Accrued Sick Leave Requirements: -IAT Level II or equivalent
