The company's solutions enable users to manufacture various types of chip cards, including ID, contact, and dual interface cards, as well as multimedia cards and smart labels for access control and supply chain management. M--hlbauer's equipment is used to personalize Virginia Driver's Licenses as well as licenses in other states in order to protect documents against counterfeiting and alteration. M--hlbauer, Inc is looking to hire an experienced Application Image Processing Engineer/Technician at its Newport News, Virginia location. The ideal candidates are team-oriented that specialize in the manipulation, preparation, and evaluation of image processing. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the configuration and application of image processing systems in our machines for the production of security documents, bank cards, RFID smart labels and other semiconductor components
• Perform and evaluate feasibility studies
• Develop new image processing systems
• Improve and develop existing image processing systems
• Conduct customer training and service calls
• Collaborate with research and development teams on an interdisciplinary and international basis Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or field directly related to the position
  • Two or more years of experience with vision electronics and hardware
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel
