Position DescriptionJoin Serco in support of our Defense Service sector and Systems Integration and Installation Business Unit as a Network Engineer in one of our locations within the Tactical Afloat Networks Program Office (PMW 160). -We have opportunities in the following locations:

  • San Diego, California -
  • Virgina Beach, Virginia
  • Mayport, Florida -
  • Bremerton, Washington State - -This role will support the Tactical Networks (TACNET) Capabilities Based In Service Engineering Agent (CB-ISEA). TACNET CB-ISEA supports the sustainment and modernization of Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Integration Shipboard Networking System (ISNS), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Networks as well as integration and support of additional Program of Record and Non-Program or Record systems. -The position requires travel, equal to approximately 25%, both CONUS and OCONUS, underway on U.S. Navy ships, and some off hours on-call support. - -In this role, you will:
    • Provide break/fix Information Technology support in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
    • Analyze issues in an Enterprise LAN shipboard and shore environments to determine the best course of action for resolution.
    • Provide root cause analysis and recommending permanent configuration changes when necessary.
    • Work in cooperation with external partners, including consultants, agencies, and vendors, to troubleshoot intra-system issues, and to assist with system integration design solutions.
    • Provide server break-fix and provide remote support for server, network, desktop, and peripheral equipment.
    • Interface and direct US Navy Customers regarding the proper approach to maintaining US Navy Afloat networks and the associated network components supporting data, voice and/or audio communication activities.
    • Attend and participate in technical meetings, report on technical progress, prepare briefs, and provide presentations.
    • Participate in integrated product teams and engineering/design reviews.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
      • Bachelors Degree (B.S.) in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.
      • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
      • An active Secret or higher clearance.
      • Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
      • Must hold valid US passport.
      • Must be able to become CSWF IAT II certified within 6 months of higher date.
