process equipment. The mechanical engineer will focus on
troubleshooting, problem-solving, robotics, vision systems and
improvement activities. All work takes place in a

candidates for the position of Mechanical Engineer III! Overview:
Provides mechanical engineering support to implement or improve
production equipment and / or systems including, but not limited to
automated assembly or process lines. Performs root cause analysis
(RCA) for equipment /process issues. Develops & implements
appropriate countermeasures.
Responsibilities- Consistently demonstrates the ability to generate
& implement effective, imaginative solutions to problems. Monitors
and tracks the effectiveness of the countermeasures. - Coordinates
and leads schedule & planning meetings and/or act as the ME
representative at meetings. - Develops, manages and tracks
resources and budgets for department and assigned projects
including spending schedules. - Develops concepts and
implementation plans for large scale, complex, equipment and/or
process projects. Identifies resources required and prioritizes
actions effectively. - Acts as the Engineering lead for problem
investigations using engineering principles. Assists members in
developing/improving their investigative skills and techniques. -
Solves complex issues and/or design equip and/or processes. Acts as
a technical resource to guide others. - Reviews other members'
drawings, etc. for accuracy, clarity, and/or consistency to CVI ME
drawing standards, etc. Mentor to junior members. - Creates
divisional/interdivisional policies and procedures. - Demonstrates
technical capability to research, interpret and apply standards
(NEC, NFPA, etc.) proactively / consistently as needed to maintain
employee safety and code compliance. - Designs, develops,
assemblies, and tests prototype equipment/systems for new/improved
functions and/or processes. - May coordinate equipment installation
activities including the delivery, offloading, installation, and
commissioning of equipment. - Reviews, verifies and approves vendor
supplied conceptual and detailed drawings, panel layouts and / or
process drawings. - Creates & updates detailed, comprehensive
schedules for the projects/ tasks/ responsibilities assigned. -
Estimates & summarizes resource requirements for projects/ tasks.
Figures out Return on Investment and cost benefit calculations. -
Researches and interprets standards to determine applicability to
current /future equipment and/or processes (ANSI, RIA, NFPA, NEC,
etc). - Creates 2D & 3D CAD file creation and revision for
component and assembly drawings for complex equipment and/or
systems. - Understands what Industry Consensus Standards are &
utilizes/ applies with support of experienced members. Ex. NFPA,
NEC, ANSI, etc. -
Qualifications- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing
Engineering, Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering Technology or
related field and 5-8 years' experience preferably in a
manufacturing environment. - Working knowledge of CAD operations,
Basic design requirements and Tolerance methods (preferable
Autodesk Inventor). - Experience in robot and vision systems a
plus. - Requires experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office
programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). - Requires strong verbal
