Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance within our production facility, ensuring the optimal operation of conveyor systems and the facility itself. Collaborate closely with our engineering team to install, modify, and service machinery, including metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, and welding. Utilize your expertise in machine and equipment service, focusing on components like bearings, drives, and shafts. Operate various equipment including scissors and boom lifts, all-terrain and industrial forklifts, while maintaining air compressors, hydraulics, pumps, piping, mechanical drives, and combustion systems. Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance within the production facility. Collaborate with the engineering team on installation and modification of conveyor systems. Conduct metal fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, and welding. Service and repair machinery and equipment such as bearings, drives, and shafts. Operate equipment including scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and more. Maintain air compressors, hydraulics, pumps, piping, mechanical drives, and combustion systems. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repairs. Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics. PLC troubleshooting skills. Ability to perform HVAC maintenance. Welding experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with welding equipment. Specific PLC experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our work environment is non-climate controlled and operates within a production setting. The weekend shift runs from Thursday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing an opportunity to engage in various operational tasks and contribute to a thriving production facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
