We are in search of a Facilities Manager to join our Newport News, VA office. This is a newly created and highly visible role that is responsible for actively managing our ten office locations across Virginia and Maryland. This role focuses on leasehold management, project management, and facilities asset management. Job Duties Leasehold Management & Analysis Establishes broker relationships and conducts property searches Executes lease negotiations in accordance with the firm's general counsel Maintains lease abstracts and rent schedules Conducts common area maintenance audits on all firm properties Conducts lease audits in coordination with commercial broker Oversees building functions and compliance with local property managers Budget and Cost Management Prepares operating reports on facility performance using standard facilities metrics and measurements Prepares cost estimates for all facilities changes and improvements Reviews and codes all facilities-related invoices, general ledger posting, and financial analysis Develop budgets and identifying/implementing cost-saving solutions Space Planning & Allocation Works with executive management and other stakeholders to understand current and future space Conducts project planning, timeliness, and management for relocation and/or renovation projects Repairs and Maintenance Tracks and arrange all regular maintenance with local property management Accountability for quarterly inspection of each site for functionality, aesthetic condition, and safety Negotiates, selects, and manages all vendor contracts and oversees the entire vendor life cycle Safety, Security, and Emergency Response Develops and maintains the office-level emergency mode operations and disaster response plans Develops and maintains the firm's disaster management software application Develops and maintains an employee photo identification system and building access/parking solution Maintains a safe work environment according to OSHA and risk management standards Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in facilities management, business management, or related field preferred 8 years of relevant experience in facilities management CFM (Certified Facility Manager) certification a plus Strong data analysis skill set Intermediate to advanced MS Excel proficiency Strong knowledge of procurement, contracts, facilities management, and safety and environment regulations Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Our Firm's policy is to provide equal opportunity for employment to all individuals regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
