Aerotek's client is currently hiring an Assistant Project Manager to help support their multimillion dollar project in Williamsburg, VA!Description:Our client is hiring an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their team and report to the project site in WILLIAMSBURG, VA. This company completes $100M+ projects and supports some of the largest GCs up and down the East Coast. Will assist in the responsibilities listed below, but will not be expected to lead in all of them on day one.Responsibilities:

• Understand the Contract Summary/Contract in the Project Manual.
• Manage the Change Order Process.
• Maintain and enhance the company's image with the Owner and/or Client.
• Take the lead role in managing the coordination process and maintain the coordination drawing schedule dates.
• Develop a working a project schedule using the Primavera format. Meet or exceed the milestones on this schedule.
• Set up Labor control from Estimate and review with Project Superintendent.
• Develop Project Specific position description for all S&A staff on the project.
• Perform weekly and quarterly training for all staff and foreman.
• Keep project manuals current. Utilize and train all staff with Manual(s) Procurement.
• Assumes all procurement responsibilities after initial 60-day procurement phase including change orders. Receive Executive sign off before commitments.
• Understand and Enforce Subcontractor/Vendor Scopes.
• Responsible for project S&A payroll.
• Responsible for maintaining or bettering the budgets for the 100, 400, 500 & 600 pay items sections of the JC 80.
• Total responsibility for the company Safety Manual implementation and Quality contract requirements.
• Responsible for the full implementation of the Company's billing and cash flow procedure.
• Administer the payable approval process to assure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
• Assure and maintain all documentation, logs, records, etc. per the Company standards.
• Maintain as-builts drawings, test reports and O&M manuals.Skills:Project management, Construction managementTop Skills Details:- Must have 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or APM with a GC or Sub - Must be able assist with procurement (change orders/purchasing materials)- Must be able to assist with scheduling and support PMs in their day to day - Preferred: Experience supporting Mechanical and/or plumbing projects- Preferred: Bachelors in Construction/engineering related major About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
