Information Security Manager - Job Overview: WorldStrides is looking for an Information Security Manager to identify, implement and maintain security processes, policies and technologies in support of the company's business strategies and objectives. The Information Security Manager will champion the Information Security program and advocate for a balanced approach that considers both security and usability. The Information Security Manager will seek to enable WorldStrides business through precise application of security controls. Primary responsibilities will include identification of relevant technology, management of security related projects, operational oversight of key security processes and compliance with required standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:


  • Development and maintenance of an Information Security roadmap, including selection of or adherence to an industry accepted framework
  • Implementation of processes and controls that support a comprehensive and measurable framework
  • Measurement of process maturity and identification of improvements to achieve target maturity
  • Selection and implementation of security related technologies
  • Ownership of security related operational processes and procedures as well as supporting technologies
  • Training and mentorship of WorldStrides employees
  • Management of security vendors and relationships
  • 10% travel to other WorldStrides sites and data centers may be required

    The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and personal attributes:

    • Minimum of 5 years of hands on experience with security technology
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with security processes, controls, policies and frameworks
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure or Software Development
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading projects and initiatives
    • Information Security frameworks, including ISO 27000 Management and implementation of projects
    • Network Engineering experience and deep understanding of IP internet connectivity
    • In depth understanding of security related technologies, including firewalls, endpoint and data protection, encryption, monitoring and logging
    • Experience with implementing and maintaining a program to comply with HIPAA, PCI, PII or COPA standards
    • Management of industry standard penetration testing and vulnerability scanning tools, as well as remediation of findings
    • Maintenance of Operating System and software versions, patching levels and overall security posture
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills
    • Highly motivated and goal oriented.
    • Positive attitude, successfully working as a team player with business and technology stakeholders
    • Self-starter, able to multitask and prioritize competing deliverables
    • Strong integrity and detail oriented
    • Collaborative and consultative engagement style


      Desired Skills/Experience:

      • CISSP highly preferred
      • PMP or other Project Management certification preferred
      • ITIL certification and/or experience preferred
      • Certifications in security related technologies desired
      • Process expertise and knowledge of Lean and/or CMM desired
      • Exposure to a structured SDLC desired
