Job Description:

The Service Manager is responsible to promote the department service and repair sales, managing team member daily work loads, project scheduling and supervision of all site daily service operations including service administration and purchasing. Service manager interacts with all vendors and sub contractors utilized during the course of regular business activity and continuously seeks to improve purchasing power and sell through margins.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Schedule and coordinate the activities of all service crew members ;

2. Ensure that the project crews follow safety guidelines and further develop the property service teams's safety culture including ;

3. Continue to develop the service team skill sets, develop training programs and provide direct hands on mentoring when required;

4. Continually seeking ways to improve productivity, eliminate errors with the ultimate goal being to improve the property satisfaction rating;

5. Interface with the General Manager weekly to both establish action planning as well as monitor the service department performance as it relates to property goals. ;

6. Monitors team performance, production, efficiency and quality metrics to ensure that goals are met and supporting overall team quality and training efforts;

7. Provides training and coaching support to reinforce successful team member behaviors and identify opportunities for performance improvement;

8. Ensures adherence to departmental and/or operations policies, procedures and practices;

9. Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering or project management desired.
• Five (5) to ten (10) years related progressive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Factory OEM Training and Certification a Plus.
• Comfortable in a sales driven environment requiring both inside and outside efforts in order to achieve goals.
• Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite skills required;
• Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment;
• Must have strong organization skills to be able to prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints;
• Highly motivated team player driven to achieve excellence;
• Strong ability to develop partnerships with internal clients/others;
• Good presentation, facilitation and computer skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability work independently to achieve goals and targets;
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department and corporate goals;
