CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA):Williamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community, seeks PRN (as needed) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to care for residents in Assisted Living, Memory Support, and the Health & Rehabilitation Center. PRN status must meet the following minimum scheduling requirements: 1) work no less than one weekend shift per month; and 2) work one major holiday each year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year).
CNA JOB DUTIES

• Assist in implementing individualized care that promotes maximum independence, safety, and comfort for each resident
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as meal preparation, bathing, dressing, and groomingCNA QUALIFICAITONS
  • Valid certification as a Nurse Aide from the Commonwealth of Virginia and current CPR certification is required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) designation required within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with accepted methods and techniques necessary in providing optimal care
  • Ability to regularly and safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds; ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to use a variety of health care equipment such as lifts, thermometer, and blood pressure cuff
  • Prior applicable work experience preferred Williamsburg Landing is a non-profit, independent community offering a vibrant lifestyle for residents.
    CNA compensation starts at $16/hour and increases with experience.
