currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse. Minimum
of 1 (one) year of experience required. This is a PRN opportunity
offering 12-hour shifts (both 7:00 AM–7:00 PM & 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on
Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays - multiple openings per shift,
located in Norfolk, VA Position Summary: A Day in the life of a
Licensed Practical Nurse: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
provides direct medical and psychiatric nursing support to
individuals admitted to crisis stabilization services. Under the
supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Medical Director, the LPN
assists with medication administration, health monitoring,
documentation, and crisis support in accordance with DBHDS, DMAS,
and agency policies. Key Responsibilities • Administer medications
and treatments as prescribed by licensed providers • Monitor
clients for changes in physical or mental health status and report
concerns to the RN or prescribing provider • Participate in
admission assessments, including vital signs, nursing assessments,
medication reconciliation, and medical history review • Provide
health education to clients regarding prescribed medications and
wellness practices • Assist with crisis de-escalation and implement
safety plans in collaboration with the clinical team • Maintain
accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs) and ensure
medications are stored securely • Collaborate with the
interdisciplinary team on treatment planning and discharge
coordination • Support infection control protocols, including
COVID-19 screening and isolation procedures when required • Attend
required staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing supervision •
Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency
services as needed Qualifications • Current Licensed Practical
Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the Virginia Board of
Nursing • At least one year of experience in behavioral health,
crisis services, or a psychiatric setting preferred • Current
CPR/BLS certification (must remain active) • Ability to pass
required background checks • Strong documentation, communication,
and teamwork skills • Ability to work effectively with diverse
populations • Knowledge of mental health and substance use
disorders Work Environment & Schedule • Position may include
rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays • Work is performed in a
residential facility operating 24/7 • Role may require lifting,
extended walking, and rapid response in crisis situations Benefits:
$30.00 per hour Weekly Pay OFF WEEKENDS FOR THIS POSITION! Direct
