Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Newport News, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,802 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of experience accepted; first-time travelers are welcomed License: Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Home health experience and OASIS experience required Description: This position offers home health physical therapy services. The individual will not be required to report to a home base before or after shifts. Daily driving expected is between 45-60 miles. The physical therapist assistant will cover specific areas as part of their duties. Five patient visits per day are anticipated, which amounts to 30 points per week. There are no weekend shifts required for this position. The office is closed for major holidays. All applicants must have experience in home health setting and OASIS. Virginia licenses required must be in hand or proof of compact license must be provided. Additional certifications may be required based on specific needs. Flexibility and adherence to specific policies and procedures are essential. The role includes performing evaluations and developing treatment plans for patients. Communication skills and the ability to work independently are important. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is expected.
