General Public - G Job Duties Up to $25,000 Bonus for Registered
Nurses that are new to state service and remain with the facility
for 2 years. $15,000 sign on bonus will be awarded to new hires to
state service with a one-year written agreement requirement. An
additional $10,000 retention bonus will eb awarded to new hires who
are hired after November 9th, 2023. The retention bonus will be
paid out one year after hire date and require a on-year written
agreement. Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg,
Virginia, was founded in 1773, with a well-intentional emphasis on
community focused mental health care. This state of the art campus,
situated on 500 acres, consists of two patient care buildings with
300 patients, and a highly skilled staff of over 900. Eastern State
Hospital is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and
Developmental Services (DBHDS) system, and is accredited by the
Joint Commission. ESH invites applications for the Entry Level
Registered Nurse position. Newly graduated students are welcome to
apply! ESH is currently hiring for 12-hour shifts: Day/Evening 7:00
a.m. – 7:30 p.m. or Evening/Night 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. The entry
level Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care to adult and
geriatric patients through utilization of the nursing process in
accordance with hospital policy and procedure and standards of
nursing care and practice. Supervises, documents, evaluates and
provides evidence in performance of staff. Must be available to
work weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary. Multiple
positions may be filled from this posting. Minimum Qualifications •
Registered Nurse or license eligible; multi-state compact
endorsement accepted or licensed within 90 days of employment.
Additional Considerations • Psychiatry and or geriatric related
experience preferred. • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an
accredited institution of higher education preferred. Special
