Job Description:

Our organization is currently in need of Dietary Aides and Housekeepers for a Psychiatric Hospital in Williamsburg, VA.A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.At least 1 year experience required for both positions. DIETARY AIDE: Organize and adjust tables for dining areas, paying special attention to cleanliness and ease of use Assist team members with preparing and cooking meals for the facility Deliver meals and food trays to patients at predetermined times Remove plates and serve ware upon the completion of a patient finishing their meal Discard trash and remove waste after scheduled dining hall times Maintain clean and orderly food stations for buffets and special events Monitor pantry stock and inform management of items running low and in need or re-ordering Assist kitchen manager in creating menus within the budget and requirements of patients Qualifications for Dietary Aide Experience working in a medical environment or in customer service is preferred Skilled in preparing food for a large group of people as instructed by kitchen management Basic understanding of kitchen cookware and appliances Excellent teamwork and communication skills are needed to successfully prepare large-scale catering orders Ability to work on your feet and in the standing position for an extended period Experience cooking various meals and following recipes Flexibility in terms of availability, able to work holidays and weekends Ability to lift and transport heavy trays and carts as needed HOUSEKEEPER: Respond to emergencies in relation to cleaning hospital environment Clean and wipe windows, floors, etc. Dispose of wastes in wastebaskets as well as clean the wastebaskets Appropriately dispose of medical waste products like syringes, hand gloves, face mask, sachets of tablets, etc. Dust furniture as well as equipment Collect dirty clothes for appropriate washing Iron the water-washed cloth and appropriately distribute water-washed cloth to patients Wipeout blood or other body fluids and then disinfect the area of contact Use various types of cleaning equipment, like vacuum cleaners, washing machines, etc. Document the procedure involved in the disposal of hospital waste products, and ensure that the right procedure in line with the standard practice of the hospital, is followed. Qualifications for Housekeeper Good organizational skills as well as strong hygienic practice Mathematical skills needed to mix cleaning agents appropriately in accordance with the prescription of the manufacturer The ability to take the initiative Knowledge of the process of sterilizing equipment Proven ability and/or inclination to follow instructions Ability to maintain a positive disposition at all times The ability to work under exposure to dust The ability to maintain an open mind to the acquisition of new skills and knowledge while on the job, especially the use of chemicals and understanding of basic safety procedures Effective interpersonal skill The ability to communicate effectively in writing Problem-solving skill Ability to work as part of a team The ability to be punctual alwaysProvide excellent services according to your job duties as assigned.Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 per hourShift: Days 7AM-7:30PMDuration: 1 Year contract with strong possibility for extensionJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $15.00 per hourBenefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insuranceSchedule: 12 hour shift Day shiftWork Location: One location
