Oversee efficient production of quality products through effective communication with managers, subordinates, and all other departments within the organization.Specific Accountabilities:Review next days schedule to plan for production.Communicate with Production Scheduler, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Maintenance Departments to assure the most efficient use of equipment, materials, and personnel.Effectively use associates to maximize production efficiencies.Assign personnel to specific areas and tasks and clearly communicate expectations.Monitor areas for Safety and assure safe working habits and conditions.Communicate with Human Resources in managing all personnel actions for assigned subordinates. Including hiring, disciplinary actions, promotions, time and attendance, leave, performance reviews, training, and assigned materials.Review processing specifications and assure missing or incorrect information is updated. Including equipment and line set-ups, yield, rate, crewing assignments, and special notes.Assure all required paperwork is completed and turned-in as required. Includes but are not limited to; raw material usage, finished product production, downtime, production time, personnel counts, HACCP paperwork, accident reports, work orders, and time and attendance reports.Assure compliance to HACCP plan and quality policiesIdentify process improvements and cost savings ideas.Production efficiencies throughout the day to assist in identifying reporting or standard errors.Oher Accountabilities:Assist with projects for other departments such as R&D, standard updates with Accounting, water and energy conservation with Maintenance, etc.Act as trainer for specific formal training classes including operators training, HACCP, SPC, GMP, etc.Develop employee involvement for process improvements.Participate in Physical Inventory when required.Complete other duties as assigned.Highest possible attainment of quality products.Assurance of up-to-date, cost effective manufacture of products through increased efficiency, quality standards, and company objectives.Timely and cost-effective manufacture of products through increased efficiency, quality standards, and company objectives.Responsible for the hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions required with production employees.Keeping current with all new labor laws, ex; including HR, as well as, all governmental regulations etc. to ensure a safe & healthy working environment for themselves and those they supervise.Implementing Problem Solving & Lessons Learned procedures to ensure continual growth within the company.This position is required to provide assistance to Research & Development (R&D) in the processing of new products. A basic knowledge of cuttings and processing specifications is required in this area.Basic knowledge and understanding of both Scheduling procedures and costing of products is required to ensure the production of products in an efficient & cost-effective manner. Job Specifications:Bachelors degree is desiredManagement and Supervision courses and/or trainingAbility to manage peopleAbility to analyze and solve problemsAbility to understand and evaluate costs involved with productionAbility to communicate with employees with very limited English skillsAt least Three (3) years of manufacturing supervisory experienceExperience with Food Manufacturing desirableExperience with HACCP desirableObtain USDC HACCP CertificationObtain and update Red Cross CPR/First Aid CertificationValid US drivers license and vehicle to commute to other plant locations.Join Us!
