Description:JOB SUMMARYThe Recruiting Assistant, under the
supervision of the Chief Talent Officer, completes recruiting tasks
and responsibilities that support the effective and efficient
operations of Williamsburg Landing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Proactively sources, screens, and schedules interviews for open
positions, collaborating with hiring managers throughout the
process to ensure adequate staffing levels and quality hires
- Manages the applicant tracking system (ATS) and candidate
correspondence to ensure continued engagement throughout the hiring
process
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships with high
schools, community and technical colleges, and universities to
generate qualified applicants; participates in job fairs and other
recruitment events
- Assists in New Employee Orientation, working with departments
to ensure a smooth, effective transition into the culture of
Williamsburg Landing
- Completes reference checks and validates current state
license/certifications
- Enters new hire and employment separation data in the We Care
Connect platform
- Assists with various updates to include the Employee Handbook,
job descriptions, policies, forms, and surveys
- Actively participants, coordinates, and assists in employee
recognition programs and events such as service anniversaries and
holiday events
- Prepares correspondence and processes mail; copies, mails,
files, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical
functions
- Cross trains and serves as a backup for payroll and benefits
processing
- Provides a high level of customer services to residents and
employees by being helpful and courteous, seeking and responding to
input; demonstrates a high level of interest in acknowledging and
understanding others
- Upholds Williamsburg Landing's Corporate Compliance Plan,
reporting actual and potential compliance issues to the Compliance
Officers and demonstrating ethical conduct to fellow employees and
residents
- Makes, distributes and files necessary reports accurately;
produces required statistical reports for the department
- Evaluates work processes and methods and submits
recommendations for continuous quality improvement
- Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh School
diploma or equivalent required; a minimum of two (2) years of
progressively responsible experience in human resources or a
similar field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESGeneral knowledge of human resources
and recruiting best practices; demonstrated ability to effectively
communicate both verbally and in writing using proper grammar and
spelling; strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to provide outstanding customer
service using a friendly, outgoing, and customer-first approach in
person and by phone; demonstrated interpersonal skills with the
ability to manage sensitive and confidential situation with tact,
professionalism, and diplomacy; excellent organizational and
administrative skills; ability to regularly exercise sound
judgment; ability to maintain professional working relationships
with staff, community, and regulatory officials; ability to
maintain high performance and composure under pressure, opposition,
or criticism
