Description:JOB SUMMARYThe Recruiting Assistant, under the
supervision of the Chief Talent Officer, completes recruiting tasks
and responsibilities that support the effective and efficient
operations of Williamsburg Landing.ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSProactively sources, screens, and schedules interviews for
open positions, collaborating with hiring managers throughout the
process to ensure adequate staffing levels and quality hiresManages
the applicant tracking system (ATS) and candidate correspondence to
ensure continued engagement throughout the hiring
processEstablishes and maintains professional relationships with
high schools, community and technical colleges, and universities to
generate qualified applicants; participates in job fairs and other
recruitment eventsAssists in New Employee Orientation, working with
departments to ensure a smooth, effective transition into the
culture of Williamsburg LandingCompletes reference checks and
validates current state license/certificationsEnters new hire and
employment separation data in the We Care Connect platformAssists
with various updates to include the Employee Handbook, job
descriptions, policies, forms, and surveysActively participants,
coordinates, and assists in employee recognition programs and
events such as service anniversaries and holiday eventsPrepares
correspondence and processes mail; copies, mails, files, scans, and
emails documents; and performs other clerical functionsCross trains
and serves as a backup for payroll and benefits processingProvides
a high level of customer services to residents and employees by
being helpful and courteous, seeking and responding to input;
demonstrates a high level of interest in acknowledging and
understanding othersUpholds Williamsburg Landing's Corporate
Compliance Plan, reporting actual and potential compliance issues
to the Compliance Officers and demonstrating ethical conduct to
fellow employees and residentsMakes, distributes and files
necessary reports accurately; produces required statistical reports
for the department Evaluates work processes and methods and submits
recommendations for continuous quality improvementPerforms other
duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent
required; a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible
experience in human resources or a similar field required;
Bachelor's degree preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESGeneral
knowledge of human resources and recruiting best practices;
demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and
in writing using proper grammar and spelling; strong computer
skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
ability to provide outstanding customer service using a friendly,
outgoing, and customer-first approach in person and by phone;
demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to manage
sensitive and confidential situation with tact, professionalism,
and diplomacy; excellent organizational and administrative skills;
ability to regularly exercise sound judgment; ability to maintain
professional working relationships with staff, community, and
regulatory officials; ability to maintain high performance and
