Job Description Job Description LHH Recruitment Solutions is
searching for an Human Resource Generalist & Payroll Administrator
for a permanent position, working in the office, Virginia Beach,
VA. Essential Functions 1. Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll
data to include garnishments, vacation time, sick time, insurance
and 401(k) deductions. Utilizes third party automated system to
produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all
applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. 2. Reviews
electronic time clock for completeness and accuracy and contacts
various department supervisors for any missed times. Monitors OT
hours and follow up with appropriate management. 3. Prepares
bi-weekly payroll in PayDay Payroll system. 4. Administers various
human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel;
assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies
and procedures; maintains and enforces the employee handbook. 5.
Coordinates recruitment efforts for both exempt and nonexempt
positions, manages job advertisements, conducts new-employee
orientations; monitors career-pathing program and handles employee
terminations. 6. Conducts and/or coordinates various employee
training programs related to onboarding, professional development,
or site-specific requested training. 7. Monitors the performance
evaluation program and recommends revisions as necessary. 8.
Assists with benefits administration by serving as a key point of
contact for employees, coordinating with the benefits broker to
address questions and resolve issues. Organize communication and
logistics for annual open enrollment. 9. Manages 401(k) plan
administration, including employee enrollment, plan monitoring, and
providing support to employees in accessing their retirement
benefits. 10. Develops and maintains affirmative action program;
files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports,
and logs to conform to EEOC regulations. 11. Handles employee
relations issues, including conducting investigations when required
and referring significant issues to senior management as necessary.
12. Primary responder to employee inquiries, providing timely and
accurate HR guidance. Address employment-related inquiries
escalating complex issues as needed. Conducts stay-interviews in
partnership with managers and exit interviewing. Maintains trend
data reports to develop proactive strategies for employee
retention. 13. Maintains human resource information system records
and compiles reports from the database. 14. Maintains compliance
with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and
regulations. Must support audits and reporting. 15. Coordinate with
Event Coordinator on company morale boosters. 16. Coordinate with
Event Coordinator on the inventory for employee shirts, safety
equipment and nametag counts. 17. Responsible for addressing
unemployment claims, worker's compensation injuries, etc. Education
and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent educ/exp. in human
resources operations or related field. Minimum of at least 2 years
of experience with payroll systems and related software programs.
Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in human
resources; PHR (Professional in HR-HRCI) or SHRM-CP (Certified
Professional) preferred. Payday Payroll experience is a plus.
