Job DescriptionGSE Absolute Consulting is working with a major client who is looking to hire a Software Engineer on a long-term contract basis starting asap!

• Hybrid
• Client is based in Virginia
• Hourly rate: $41-$54 p/hRequirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree and minimum 5 years of experience or Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Technical SAP knowledge in the core modules, particularly PP and PS modules. Experience with PEO a bonus
  • Familiar with use of ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC), Eclipse Programming Environment
  • Knowledge in Fiori App development
  • Ability to create specialized reports for SAP modules using ABAP programming languages; preferably Object Oriented programming
  • SAP ABAP programming tools including Report and Transaction creation, Enhancements, Conversion Programs, and SmartForms, Screen Painter BDC, LSMW, User Exits, Menu Exits, Function Exit, Screen Exit, ALV Reports, Dialog Programming, Data Dictionary, RFC, ABAP Query, ALE, BAPI, and BADI
  • Preferred knowledge of bidirectional system to system integrations that could impact business customers on reporting of financial data or business processes
  • Demonstrated use of Agile/Scrum as the Systems Development Life Cycle process
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles
  • Experience with integrated development environments (IDEs)
  • Experience with source control tooling
  • Practical experience with Test Driven Development
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Node, ReactJS)
  • Experience with Git source controlResponsibilities:Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs IT applications software and systems. Collaborates with IT systems designers and/or engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes IT system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures IT software standards are met.
