NO WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY? The Commercial Loan Officer is
a key role with the bank in this market as they desire to grow
their presence locally. This would be one of two local Commercial
Relationship Managers to service the market from Hampton to Newport
News to Williamsburg. This position offers great visibility to
senior management and an opportunity to shine and stand out as a
performer. Lots of autonomy and independence in this role. JOB
DESCRIPTION
The Commercial Loan Officer will be calling on companies of any
size in Williamsburg, Newport News and Hampton or what is referred
to locally as the "Peninsula Market." Focus will be on C&I
lending to operating companies but you can also do CRE. Need if for
a full service RM. Credit skills are required. The more credit
knowledge the better so that the RM can present a strong argument
and defend deals to the Regional Credit Officer and Committee.
Knowldege of the local market, established COIs and network are
required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 2 years on the line as a
Commercial Loan Officer or Business Banker. Local market knowledge
required. Credit skills required to enable the RM to structure
deals and defend deals in commiittee but this RM will have plenty
of assistance from the credit dept. collecting financials and doing
spreads, analysis and underwriting.
