Description The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for company-wide talent and career development efforts that drive individual and team development. This is accomplished by assessing, designing, cultivating, and implementing leadership development and employee engagement programs that specifically support career development, team effectiveness, and talent development. The Employee Development Specialist is responsible for building curriculum, and curating resources related to leadership development and coaching and performing other duties as requested. Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee BayPort's Leadership Development Program
• Design talent development solutions aligned to organizational goals and competencies and HR priorities.
• Design and facilitate professional development workshops
• Lead Diversity & Inclusion strategies
• Design and implement employee engagement strategies
• Coordinate annual employee engagement survey and deliver results
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to plan strategy for attaining learning goals.
• Develop procedures to train management and learners on course curriculum and learning objectives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain measurement and evaluation strategies to assess efficiency and effectiveness of development programs.
• Track and communicate progress toward goals and manage related reporting.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and employees, including executives.
• Provide program management support and oversight to programs in leadership development and employee engagement.
• Assist the Chief Human Resources Officer in updating the credit union's succession plan. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Goal and result oriented
  • Broad understanding of talent management trends and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • Proficient in employee engagement strategies
  • Proficiency facilitating professional development workshops
  • Experience creating employee development curriculum
  • Knowledge of virtual training platforms
  • Ability to blend strategic and critical thinking and practical execution
  • Ability to simultaneously and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; demonstrates effective listening and questioning skills
  • Ability and proficiency to operate independently
  • Ability to maintain employee confidentiality at all times
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • A drive for continuous improvement Required Education: Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience. Required Experience: 2 - 4 years' experience in training, coaching, and developing talent.-- Preferred Experience: Extensive knowledge of all Credit Union departments, job functions, policies, and procedures.
