JOB SUMMARY

The Deck Attendant oversees the general upkeep, cleaning, maintenance, and organization of the pools, waterslides, spas, and pool deck areas, while ensuring the safety and security of the pool area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ensures proper set up of pool furniture and pool towels.

• Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the pools and surrounding areas.

• Ensures compliance with pool rules and confirms access to pool area is limited to authorized guests.

• Provides exceptional guest service (assists guests with towels, drinking water, etc.).

• Responds to calls and questions from members, owners, guests, and departments.

• Engages with members, owners, and guests during activities.

• Inspects the pool and surround areas, provide feedback to management as needed.

• Ensures the safety of members, owners, and guests.

• Recognizes and immediately reports all potential emergency situations.

• Completes "towel window" duties as assigned.

• Complies with all state and federal policies, rules, and regulations.

• Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.

• Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Less than a high school education.

EXPERIENCE

• No prior experience required.

• No supervisory experience required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS

• This position does not require licenses and certifications.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
