SummaryAbout the position:This position will be assigned to the Force Support Division at Fort Eustis. This position is a Regular Full Time Position which is guaranteed 35 hours per week and can work 35-40 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work. This position comes with Benefits and Compensation.Learn more about this agency ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with the Director and key staff while providing support and assistance. Will perform a variety of clerical and administrative functions in support of the organization. Typical clerical and procedural duties of positions in this series include: receives and screens incoming telephone calls; Greets and fosters positive interactions with internal and external customers Answers routine inquiries or refers to appropriate staff members provides receptionist services such as typing, mail preparation, copying, distribution, and other duties as assigned reserving rooms for meetings; reviews, directs, controls and coordinates all incoming/outgoing correspondence, reports, etc., for format, grammar, punctuation, staffing, editing and compliance with applicable policies and procedures. designing and organizing filing systems; files material and maintaining office filing systems; serve as Chief of Records (COR)/ back up Chief of Records for Force Support. organizing the flow of clerical processes in the division, office and in subordinate offices. planning and arranging the maintenance and preparation of information needed for budget reports; writing simple or repetitive, non-technical correspondence such as letters of acknowledgment in accordance with a given format; composing complex, but non-technical correspondence; locating and assembling information for various reports, briefings, conferences, etc.; following up with staff members to ensure that various commitments/tasker's/suspense's are met;Other duties include: making/assisting members of organization with travel arrangements in Defense Travel System (DTS); requisitioning office supplies, repairs on office (telephone/computer) equipment, and printing services; keeping abreast of various procedural requirements, for example, procedures required to process travel vouchers; maintains time cards and records of leave and attendance (NAF/SETS); assists in administration of the MIC-T (Self Inspection) Program assists in administration of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program for organization assists in administration of the Government Travel Card (GTC) Program for organization assists in tracking completion of both Appropriated Funds/Non appropriated funds appraisals assists in administration/tracking of service order/work order/332's for all 633 FSS//Fort Eustis Facilities assists in implementation of FSS Awards program duties as assigned in DCPDS NAF/APF assists in implementation of the unit safety and HAZMAT/Environmental programs process awards and decorations for organizational personnel assists in administration/completion of ancillary training for organizational personnel assists in administration of the Emergency Management (EM) Program at Fort Eustis; performs duties as assigned at Emergency If interested in applying for this position you may preview the online application: Travel Required Not requiredSupervisory status No Promotion Potential None Job family (Series) 0303 Miscellaneous Clerk And Assistant Help Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
