Job Description:

Earn a $500 new driver promotion* and up to $25/hr driving as an independent contractor to support the HRT Paratransit service! 

Via uses app-based technology and operational experience to make transport more efficient. We operate over 90 deployments in over 20 countries around the world. In the Hampton Roads area, we are working with Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) Paratransit to bring innovative transportation solutions to residents who have disabilities and are unable to access fixed-route public transit services. We are looking to support this life-changing service by partnering with independent contractor drivers to help provide origin-to-destination trips for eligible riders.

Essential Functions

• Operate your personal vehicle to pick up, transport and drop off passengers eligible for paratransit service 

• Maintain a pleasant and courteous manner with passengers

• Assist passengers with onboarding,offboarding, and navigating between your vehicle and their origin or destination

To become a Via Driver Partner in Hampton Roads, you…

• Should have a valid driver’s license from VA (or an NC license if you meet certain other residency conditions)

• Own a personal vehicle with a valid insurance

• Are 21 yrs of age or older

• Have more than one year of driving history

• Pass background check

• Pass drug test

• English proficiency

*New driver promotion: To be eligible, you must complete at least 25 hours on the Via platform within 30 days of completing your driver onboarding session. Breaks will not be counted towards the hour minimum. This promotion may be revoked or altered at any time at Via's sole discretion, and these Terms are subject to change at Via's sole discretion.
