industry. We are seeking candidates for the position of Electrical
(Software) Engineer! Overview:
Supports activities in a Product Development / R&D environment
by researching and developing new components/assemblies, methods
and processes utilizing engineering principles to meet end user
requirements while adhering to project objectives for quality, cost
and delivery.
Responsibilities - Provides software engineering support for the
design and implementation of prototypes and products through the
various stages of product development. Modifies software if needed
and writes proof of concept for any changes to software on the
unit.
- Develops and writes programs to test various functions of the
unit. Works with other engineers and scientists to gain input for
elements of testing. Creates programs to collect test data results
to analyze and review. Writes test matrix plan for software
testing.
- Develops software for customer use in conjunction with unit.
Understands customer requirements and utilizes knowledge of unit to
write programs.
- Debugs software and makes any adjustments to programming as
needed. Utilizes various debugging tools to identify and correct
any issues to programming language. Works closely with hardware
engineers for end to end integration and debugging of products.
- Programs robots and other equipment to perform certain functions.
Trains other members on operation and testing of equipment.
- Analyzes data to verify efficiency / reliability of prototypes
and to determine feasibility/ manufacturability of the product.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or
equivalent and 0-2 years' experience in research and development,
medical or related field or related field writing applications in
C/C++.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of C, C++, C# programming languages for software
development in both MS Windows and Linux environments.
- Requires analytical and problem solving skills.
