Janitor Custodian Houskeeping Colonial Historic Parks



This is a nantional park that is in constant operation requires working weekends and some holidays .



This position will be for the effective and efficient maintenance of the cleanliness of the Cheatham Annex Center in accordance with the Statement of Work incorporated into the contract between VersAbility and the U.S. Government. This work is performed during day time hours with occasional weekends



Pay Rate : $15

Health and Wellfare: $4.23





Primary Responsibilities Janitor YNWS Custodian

Will require working some weekends and most holidays





- Ensuring the completion of custodial duties during the assigned shift through manual performance. These tasks include, but are not limited to, Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms, refill restroom dispensers, high/low dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, wet or dry mopping, and trash removal.





- Responsible for obtaining the appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties. Ensures supplies and equipment are maintained in a condition that is safe and effective. This includes following the guidelines for chemical use on the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of each product.





- Responsible for participating in meetings and training, as directed by their Supervisor and/or Contract Manager.





- Responsible for completing reports and documentation concerning custodial performance and responsibilities, such as requests for leave.





- Responsible for maintaining an open line of communication with VersAbility's Contract Manager. This includes relaying information concerning performance, such as improved performance or a need for additional training.





- Responsible for maintaining quality standards as determined by the Government Quality Assurance Evaluator.





- Responsible for promoting and maintaining positive lines of communication with the various Government personnel working in the facility. Responsible for providing quality customer service.





- Responsible for maintaining a sanitary and safe work area.





- Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures as set forth by VersAbility Resources, Inc. and the U.S. Government.







Requirements



Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements Janitor Custodian YNWS





Minimum of 2 years general custodial experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Must have a working knowledge of the procedures involved in performing custodial duties such as:

The operation of custodial equipment

The proper use and disposal of chemicals

The appropriate method used to clean, sanitize and/or maintain various surfaces

Must be able to perform multiple tasks without assistance and/or supervision

Must be able to work flexible hours, six-day-a-week schedule

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently

Work will be performed in a Government facility. As a result, the employee must be able to pass the background security check performed by the Government.



Physical Demands:





- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one building to another, push heavy equipment, twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently





Environmental





While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one building to another, push heavy equipment, twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel.
