We are currently seeking to fill an immediate need for a Category
Specialist. As part of the Product Development team, the Category
Specialist role is critical in supporting Product Development
activities for our Own Brand products. In this role, you will
support the profitable growth and development of the Faucets
Category. You will support department processes and serve as a
Subject Matter Authority for their category, interact with internal
departments and external suppliers, and help update and maintain
product quality standards for faucets programs. If you have prior
new product development, category management, or quality control

This role will be based in our Newport News, VA office and offers
hybrid - remote flexibility. As a hybrid role, this will require
the incumbent to be in-person for initial training and onboarding
and then report for in-office work 1- 2 days per week once
trained.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Interpret sales data, market trends and competitive analysis to
identify new Own Brand product opportunities
* Plan and implement new product and program introductions,
including product announcements and field communications
* Support development of product documents including spec sheets,
install sheets & labels
* Conduct pricing analysis and implement pricing changes
* Analyze demand and stock levels for new and existing programs
* Support and document quality improvement initiatives
* Work with a team to establish and maintain quality assurance
measures with suppliers
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to support product life
cycle processes
* Build and maintain productive relationships with domestic and
international suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and 2+ years of
new product development, category management, or quality control
experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant
experience, required
* Experience with plumbing, or faucets, including kitchen faucets,
kitchen sink accessories, lavatory faucets, showering faucets and
accessories, bath faucets, a plus
* Proven data analytics skills including market analysis and
pricing, highly preferred
* Basic knowledge of finance and cost principles, required
* Intermediate proficiency with Excel functions such as pivot
tables and v-lookups, preferred
* Prior experience with data management tools such as Power BI or
Tableau, a plus
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the
ability to capture and convey information to a variety of audiences
including international suppliers
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Demonstrate attention to detail, initiative, and self-motivation,
proactively problem-solve and see projects through completion both
quickly and accurately
* Ability to travel domestically, with occasional overnight travel,
up to 10%
