House Attendant - Public Space Attendant Full time with benefits available

Job Description:

Responsible to respond to guest requests, assist guestroom and laundry attendants, maintain the cleanliness of hotel grounds and assist maintenance team to maximize customer's satisfaction. Maintain lobby and public space areas, as assigned by management, in a clean and orderly condition according to standard procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Deliver guest requests (irons/boards, hair-dryers, roll-a-way beds, towels, soap, etc.) in a timely, efficient and hospitable manner and maintain log.
  
• Retrieve all irons/boards, hair-dryers, etc., within two hours of signing out to guest and ensure all items are accounted for at the close of shift and update status in log.
  
• Maintain cleanliness of all corridors and stairwells
  
• Maintain the housekeeping and storage areas through sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, etc., to ensure a high level of sanitation
  
• Report all safety hazards and items requiring repair (frayed electrical cord, broken on/off switches, etc.) noted during course of shift to the maintenance tea
  
• Empty all outside trash receptacles throughout the hotel to ensure the hotel is free from debris
  
• Check, lock and secure all linen closets and storage area
  
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and window frames
  
• Vacuum carpeting, upholstery and drapery
  
• Clean and shine all glass and metal surfaces
  
• Clean and empty all smoking materials from ash urns
  
• Remove trash to dumpster and ensure the area is secure
  
• Clean public restrooms and stock with supplies
  
• If applicable, clean public elevators (inside and out)
  
• Assist the Linen Room Attendant in stocking housekeeping caddies with soap, shampoo, stationary, etc.
  
• Clean (dust, empty trash receptacles, vacuum, etc.) in offices as needed
  
• Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working orde
  
• Actively participate in any applicable energy conservation programs
  
• Maintain cleanliness and appropriate safety and chemical levels of pool and hot tubs
  
• Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.
  
• Assist as necessary with special projects and renovations.
  
• Report any unsafe conditions to leadership
  
• Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed
  
  
  Other Responsibilities:

  • Runs errands as needed, driving own or company vehicle, in order to drop off and pick up supplies, equipment and furnishings.
    
  • Provide assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
    
  • Provide training to new property level support as needed.

        • Knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning processes and methods

        • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
