City/StateVirginia Beach, VAWork ShiftFirst (Days)Overview:Sentara is hiring a Radiation Therapist at Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach. This position will provide coverage for Sentara hospitals in Hampton, Norfolk, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Elizabeth City.Hours: PRN. Minimum hours of 4 hours per week, but up to 40-hours offered if elected!OverviewProvide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Duties may include but are not limited to:* Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)* Deliver brachytherapy treatment* Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, andprotection devices* Reviewing patient records for accuracy* Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel* Maintaining patient records, reports, and filesAll new graduates will remain Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years of employment and are required to pass boards within 6 months of hire.Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered.Education
