Versar is seeking an entry level environmental specialist, planner
or public policy graduate student with strong writing skills to
support the preparation of environmental assessments and reports
for complex and often controversial projects nationwide. Projects
involve construction, military operations, resource planning, and
infrastructure projects and programs largely in support of Federal
clients. The position is organized under Versar s Environmental
Services Group (ESG) and the ability to report to a Springfield VA,
Newport News VA, Richardson TX, or Boise, ID location is
Research, review, and analysis of technical studies, compliance
reports, permit applications, NEPA documents, and similar
Prepare and support preparation of environmental baseline and
impacts preparation for various resource areas (e.g., land use,
hazardous waste, socioeconomics, environmental justice,
infrastructure, water resources).
Implementation of QA/QC procedures.
Work with Senior Program and Project Managers to prepare agendas
and meeting notes, draft letters and memos, and support project
MS degree in environmental science, engineering, planning, or
related field required.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Technical and/or field experience with environmental impact issues,
associated permit processes and documentation preparation/review a
plus (but not required)
Public participation, agency coordination, planning, and
programming experience a plus (but not required).
Excellent communication skills, as well as strong conceptual,
organizational, problem solving and research abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Detail-oriented, organized, and team player with a strong focus on
U.S. Citizenship or ability to obtain security clearance for work
on DOD installations is required.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and capable of obtaining
government security clearance and/or Common Access Card (CAC)
This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with
