Consultation with clients and prospects on projects to develop and/or optimize design warehouse/distribution centers. • Support Key Account Managers and Sales Directors as consultant in the sales stage for conceptual designing automated systems
• Supports the Systems Engineering department in creating solutions for firm bid documents
• Execute consulting and design services
• Execute and manage supply chain studies and warehouse/distribution center design studies
• Design warehouse/distribution center alternatives, specifies requirements, create conceptual layouts and material flow diagrams. Develops cost estimates for the alternatives and financial models for comparison purposes. Do ROI analysis. Do technical dimensioning of material handling equipment.
• Create project documentation and develops presentations for the results of the study to customers
• Interfaces with data analysts (can be own analysis as well), CAD operator, other consultants and engineers, international consultants, project engineers, account and sales directors and external sources
• Consults customers on supply chain regarding inventory models, creates business models, specifies software requirements, does financial calculations and documents and presents the results of the study
• Prepared to execute business travels to clients, customer and Swisslog reference sites in the Americas. Profile
  • MS in Industrial Engineering or MBA with BS in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain/logistics, material handling and/or automated material handling industry
  • Absolutely dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Stable, authentic personality; able to quickly establish credibility internally and externally, and within multiple business sectors and business practices
  • Highly motivated "doer" and proactive self-starter with an adaptive selling style and clear ability to develop markets and close deals
  • Clear sales and customer-orientation with well-founded business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid and convincing personality
  • Fosters a culture of integrity and excellence and accustomed to working to infuse those qualities across the field and organization
  • Flexible and open to frequent travel, including overseas
  • High comfort level in an international environment aligned with central European business culture; goal-oriented with "can-do" and "hands-on" attitude
  • Open and straightforward in communications and actions
  • Knowledge in automation and engineering

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and project management software
  • Be able to draw rough outlined solutions in a CAD system (AutoCAD), SketchUp or similar
