M--hlbauer's equipment is used to personalize Virginia Driver Licenses as well as licenses in other states in order to protect documents against counterfeiting and alteration.
M--hlbauer, Inc is looking to hire an experienced Process Engineer- Special Machine Construction at its Newport News, Virginia location. The ideal candidates are customer-oriented and enjoys working in a team environment. They are able to work under pressure utilizing their analytical, systematic and innovative thinking skills to enhance the companies special machine construction.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop processes in special machine construction (e.g.: card personalization) and check their quality including test reports
Create test setups, carry out sampling and customer evaluations
Inspect and differentiate between the materials of card and passport components and check their service life and reliability in accordance with internationally applicable standards
Commission inspection, printing and marking laser systems while testing their performance and quality characteristics
Create concepts for machine development and define their technical requirements and characteristics
Develop and document process descriptions for technology transfer projects as well as presentations for on-site training courses

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering or other field directly related to the position
Three or more years of process engineering and quality management experience
Familiar with the physical basis of inspection, printing and marking systems (laser, ink, or similar)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
