If you are talented and driven, your potential at High Liner Foods is unlimited!It's our time to make waves.We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform finished product evaluations and plant audits in accordance with HACCP and company policy and procedures. Inspect product to meet all published standards. Monitors processes and collects information about products produced, packed, and distributed by High Liner Foods to ensure products meet or exceed customer and internal requirements and government regulations. Assist in the training of new Quality Assurance On-Line Technicians.What you will do:Responsible for quality evaluation of finished fish and seafood productsPerform HACCP verification activitiesResponsible for data storage and records maintenance.Perform additional evaluation as required for customer complaint and/or internal investigationsPerform food safety/GMP inspections as assigned to assure audit compliance and readiness everydayPerform Pre-Op inspectionsUtilize BOSS, JE, GSM, BIP, and other software platforms to perform job requirementsOrder product from outside warehouses that are needed for Quality Assurance inspection.Collect and ship micro samples as required for product type/customerExecute environmental swabbing as assignedSupport organization in the preparation and execution of GFSI, customer, regulatory, and GMP food safety and quality auditsMaintain the lab and quality workspace in a neat and orderly conditionOther responsibilities as assigned by department manager and supervisors.Must Haves:Food Science education desirable, but not essential.HACCP background desirable, but not essentialBasic understanding of food processing environment.Good math skills.Computer experience especially Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)Understanding of statistics helpful.Good odor, flavor, texture and color perception.Works effectively with other people.Requires minimum supervision.Join Us!
