Job Description:

Be a part of a diverse team. Help create and put together lenses and glasses for service members on a government facility. Position Purpose: Performs duties which both provide and ensure the provision of work in accordance with the Statement of Work incorporated into the contract between VersAbility and the US Government. • Responsible for operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for obtaining all appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties.
• Responsible for performing general duties, such as, but not limited to: equipment monitoring/prompting, frame assembly, fining pad application, fining pad removal, washing lenses, unblocking lenses, block washing, block storage, unboxing, bagging, clean-up and mail room packaging of finished eyewear.
• Responsible for cleaning equipment as instructed by the Contract Supervisor or the designated Shift Leader.
• Responsible for maintaining quality standards as determined by the Government Quality Assurance Evaluator.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work area.
• Responsible for promoting and maintaining positive lines of communication with various Government personnel while performing all assigned job duties.
• Responsible for providing quality customer service.
• Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures as set forth by VersAbility Resources and the U.S. Government.
• Reliable - Shows commitment, dedication and accountability in one's work, and follows through on all projects, goals, aspects of one's work.

Qualifications/Skills Knowledge & Abilities: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Ability to move in a warehouse environment. Lift and move lens stock . Must be able to work well with others and accept challenges. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Security: Ability to pass a military background screen to obtain base access required Status: Ability one position Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
